Misery Children

One sure way to get me interested in a toy is to call your line Misery Children.

Look at li'l Squid Boy in his stroller. Who wants a lollypop? Who wants one? Squid Boy, that's who.

Kathie Olivas' creations are more appropriately sculptures rather than toys, but we can forgive the lack of articulation for such treasures as "Boy in Bear" and "Boy with Open Skull." It's a tough life these kids lead, and, if I wasn't such a cold-hearted bastard, I would scoop 'em all up and give 'em a cup of hot cocoa. (But since I'm a jerk, I'd drop a C-note on the foster agency and get these kids to work in my sulfur mines. Except that kid with the open skull. He...uh...he kinda freaks me out.)
