Cincinnati Bengals
Founded by the legendary Paul Brown, the Bengals sank into the depths of the AFC in the 90s. Cincinnati was renamed Loserville, USA. That's harsh, especially in a league that deals out 15-yard penalties for taunting. On the plus side, thanks to this football team I now know how to spell 'Cincinnati,' a talent I have exercised zero times in my life.
When I was a kid, I had to look up what a 'bengal' was. Hey, Paul Brown, 'tigers' was still available. What gives?
Older helmets
If it wasn't for Denver's 1962 design, this would be the worst helmet ever. Although I staunchly support old-style classic helmet designs (single letter, simple graphics, etc.), someone phoned it in on this job. Even the 80s Giants helmet, which spelled an underlined 'Giants' across the side, linked the letters in a design-y way. You dropped the ball, Mr. '1968 Bengals football helmet designer.'
Founded in 1968 in the AFL.
