About the directory

This is a personal listing of some of the sites I've come across on the web that I (1) like or (2) have a mutual respect for. I don't care for sites that just sit there doing nothing with nary an update. Yeah, that's right, I used the word "nary." Sites that have pyramid schemes, more than one pop-up/under, illegal material like warez or bootleg mp3s will not be listed. If you want consideration, your best bet is to post semi-regularly on Misfitopia.

Hard as it may be to believe, but this isn't the only directory listing out there. Crazy, right?

Exchanges
These are sites that allow members to rotate banners, links, buttons, etc. to generate traffic. In this fashion, sites are no longer viewed, but merely linked to each other in an infinite spiral.

Forums
Forums and message boards and...uh...forums.

Graphics
A catch-all area for graphics, design, portfolio and fashion sites. Photoblogs may go here.

Humor
All about the funny.

Movies, TV, music
Again, duh.

Shops
Any site whose main purpose is to sell stuff.

Sports
There's usually a ball of some sort involved. You'll find the official Maximum Awesome fantasy leagues here.

Toys
Action figures, toys, resin, statues, rotocasts.

Warhammer
Any site that has to do with Games Workshop, Warhammer, WH40K, etc.

Web resources
For hosting, software and web service sites.
